Who are  (G)I-dle?

(G)I-dle is a musical group of exponents of the KPop genre made up of six members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua who have achieved great musical successes such as Pop Stars, Oh my god, More, The Baddest , Latata, among others. The Kpop group GIdle debuted on May 2, 2018 with the mini album I Am and since then they have become one of the most successful kpop groups of the moment.

Biography of (G)I-dle

Beginnings of (G)I-dle

gl-dleis a musical group made up of all women that was integrated by the company Cube Entertainment in 2018. Its members respond to the names of: Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuahua. However, her story begins before 2018, back in 2015, when Soyeon was a Cube Entertainment apprentice and made her appearance on the Mnet channel Produce 101 program. It was when she became the most popular contestant, ranking tenth for the fifth episode. Everything indicated that she was going to be one of the members of IOI, however, she was ranked number 20 for the last episode, for which she no longer qualified to belong to IOI. A short time later she was a contestant on Unpretty Rapstar, where she ended up as the second runner up. Being that she soon after she made her solo debut.

Miyeon, for her part, was a trainee of the company YG Entertainment from 2010 to 2015. While Soojin entered as a trainee of DN Entertainment in 2015, and was a member of the musical group called Vividiva, using the stage name of N .Na, although he left the group before making his debut. This is how Minnie, Yuqi and Shuhua were the ones who appeared in the promotional video for Rsing Star Cosmetic in June 2017. We cannot ignore the fact that Shuhua participated with Yoo Seon-ho in the music video for the single “Pet” in the month of September 2017.

Minnie made her appearance on the Line Friends Dance Party album, which was released in November 2017. Later, from February to March 2018, the singers Miyeon and Minnie performed four covers of songs on the Dingo Music channel. available on the YouTube platform, being the beginnings in the formation of  (G) I-dle.

While already on the date of March 22, 2018, the company Cube Entertainment made the official announcement that its new female group would make its debut during the first quarter of the year, already with Soyeon as one of the members. This is how his logo and stage name as (G)I-DLE were revealed on April 5 . The company Cube Entertainment began to introduce the new singers to the public with individual photos gradually.

This is how (G)I-DLE released their debut EP titled I Am, whose lead single was the song “Latata”. We have to point out that the EP ranked number 13 on the Gaon Albums Chart; while entering the World Albums Chart on May 9. Since then, the musical group (G) I-DLE has emerged for success with its first victory on The Show, a program belonging to SBS MTV on May 22, just 20 days after its debut.

Trajectory and history of (G)I-dle

A short time later, on June 5, the Gl-dle  girls made their debut on the Billboard Social 50 Chart at number 36. Then, on August 6, they gave a concert and recorded a performance in Times Square and Washington. Square Park with the song “Latata”.

Later, on August 14, they launched their first digital single known under the name “Hann (Alone)”, a single that topped the national charts, among which we can mention Bugs, Genie and Olleh Music; plus this Gl-dle  song got a win on Show Champion.

Later, in the month of September they performed for the first time at KCON in Thailand, that is how they headed towards success and won rookie awards at the Asia Artist Awards, Gaon Chart Music Awards, Genie Music Awards, Melon Music Award, Korea Popular Music Awards.

The following year, in 2019, the members of Gl-dle  released their second mini album which was known under the title of I Made. While on the date of June 26 they presented their second digital single called “Uh-Oh”, the particular success of this song was that it was ranked number 20 on NetEase Cloud Music China, being the first musical group of the k genre. -pop to appear in said list.

A short time later, on the date of July 31, they made their debut in Japan with the EP Latata, so on August 19 they collaborated with the makeup brand Kate for the Japanese version of the video clip for “Latata”. It was in this same year that (G) I-DLE participated in the Mnet program Queendom, aimed especially at musical groups made up of all women in South Korea. It is our knowledge that during the first preliminary round, the girls stood out for reinventing the concept of shamanism with the song “Latata”. While in the second preliminary round, (G)I-DLE performed 2NE1’s original song “Fire”, with which they finished in last place.

Already towards the end of September they held their first meeting of followers which they called Welcome to the Neverland; the event took place at Yes24 Live Hall in the capital city of Seoul. In addition, we have to mention that they covered the song known with the title of “Sad Dream” original by the artist called Koyote. Later, (G)I-DLE sang “Put it straight (nightmare version)” with which they competed in Queendom’s “Fan-dora’s Box” round; interpretation that made them stay in fourth position.

A short time later, on October 25, they released the single “Lion”, which was part of the EP called Queendom Final Comeback, with which the girls of (G) I-DLE exceeded 13 million views with the live performances of “Latata”; they came in third place in the Queendom contest; and the song “Lion” became a “sleeper hit” for which the music video dropped on November 4. We cannot ignore the fact that it was this year when they stood out in their presentation at the Tainan Christmas & New Year Eve Party in Taiwan, where the Gl-dle girls  performed their most successful singles to date.

The following year (G)-DLE announced their first world tour to which they gave the name “Who Am I”, which spanned 32 cities internationally. Shortly after they gave a concert in Bangkok, and had to postpone the release of their next album due to the health emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is how on the date of March 26 the announcement was made that the musical group would make its appearance in the event known as Twitch Stream Aid, whose programming had been scheduled for the date of March 28. This straming was a 12-hour concert whose funds raised would be used to combat Covid-19. We have to note that (G)I-DLE was the first group of the k-pop genre to participate in this event.

A little later, on April 6, they released their third EP, which they gave the title of I Trust, whose most successful song was the one known as “Oh my God”. Along with the presentation of this album, the girls of (G)I-DLE signed a contract with Republic Records to venture into the North American market. Apparently, this album was very successful for Gl-dle  as it reached the top of the Gaon Albums Chart; while for the date of April 17 they were recognized with a trophy at KBS Music Bank thanks to the popularity of the song “Oh my God”.

How much is (G)I-dle’s fortune?

This is one of the questions that people ask themselves about (G)I-dle and although they always end up answering it on other pages with “I don’t know, I don’t know” or “it depends” if there are some estimates that various web portals mention. However, it is not possible to make an exact calculation about the fortune of this great star that is the (G)I-dle group within the middle of the show, even so, more than being interested in the fortune of a person, the important thing is talent that he has and that I have made him one of the great figures of the international show business.
