Who is Paola Pena?

“Pao” Paola Peña is a famous Honduran athlete, athlete and television star who has stood out after having participated in several competition reality shows such as Calle 7 Honduras, Combate Guatemala and in 2021 in Guerreros. “Pao” Paola Peña was born on April 30, 1991 in San Pedro Sula Honduras and is the only Three-time International Champion of the “Calle 7” franchise; she champion in Honduras, El Salvador and Panama.

In an interview at that time , Paola Peña commented on how she found out about that program and how she was accepted; “It all started with a friend, she was looking at Calle 7 Chile. I didn’t watch it, but once I was coming back from a trip to the country, I call her to ask us to go out and she says yes, but that she must be home before 6 because she had to watch the program, she made me watch it and I loved it because of the competitions that are held here. I did the auditions and entered the fourth season in 2015, but I couldn’t win it, I wasn’t fully prepared yet, already in the fifth season my physical preparation was much better, more disciplined and I was able to win it”.

A year later Paola Peña  was once again invited to defend her title and surprising everyone, she was crowned twice champion of the television program and in the face of any bad forecast one year later she won the competition again, managing to be throughout said program the only three-time champion of 7 Honduras Street.

Thanks to her great sports ability and being one of the most outstanding of the Calle 7 Honduras program, she was invited to the country of Guatemala so that  Paola Peña was a participant in “Combate” one of the most successful programs in that country where she also had an outstanding performance.

It would not be strange that after having a solid sports career and demonstrating that she had a born talent as an athlete in 2021 , Paola Peña was invited to Mexico to participate in one of the most important television programs of the moment “Guerreros” on Televisa.

In June 2020, the Televisa reality show ” Guerreros ” premiered under the production of Magda Rodríguez. The hosts chosen for this program were Tania Rincón , who joined Televisa after spending several years on TV Azteca in “Venga la Alegría” and Mauricio Barcelata , who had decided to leave Imagen Televisión and his program “Sale el sol”, to have a chance on Televisa. Although in the first season  Paola Peña “Pao” had already been thought of to participate in the end, she was not called. 

This reality show was made to compete directly against “Survivor México” the new program of the Ajusco television station hosted by the environmentalist Arturo Islas . Some of the most relevant participants for being renowned entertainment figures were Julio Ron , Dadvian Esparza ,  Guty Carrera and his girlfriend  Brenda Zambrano , Aurélie Garzonio ,  Said P ,  Brandon Castañeda de los Wapayasos,  Reno Rojas ,  Ferka , among some others which were led by Macky González from the Leones team and Memo Corral, representative of the Cobra team. Carlos Aguilar “El Zar” was chosen to comment on the battles of the warriors, while Pedro Prieto was the digital conductor. The program ” Guerreros ” achieved very good audience levels and generated great interest in the public to continue watching more seasons of this reality show.

In June 2021, as expected, and after the great success that was the first season, the premiere of Guerreros 2021 was experienced, where various personalities from the entertainment world and a few strangers would be facing tough tests to find the best warrior and athlete most complete of all; of course Paola Peña “Pao” was a participant in Guerreros 2021.

In the second season of Guerreros 2021 there were the same drivers,  Tania Rincón and  Mauricio Barcelata together with Carlos Aguilar ‘El Zar’ as the narrator, and as for the participants, some former lions and cobras returned to return who wanted their revenge after not winning in the first broadcast but there were also other stars like; Dariana García “La Reina Rose” , Nicola Porcella , Brandon Castañeda from the Wapayasos , José Rodríguez, Lolo Roho, Raquel Becker, Christian Estrada and highlighting Heber Gallegos ” Thunder” who was in second place in Exatlón México 2019 and who now reappeared within Televisa.
