Leonardo Daniel López de Rodas García, better known only as Leonardo Daniel, is a famous Mexican film and television actor who, throughout his long career, has excelled in projects such as Overcoming the Past, Doctors, Cradle of Wolves, Intimate Enemy, My Family. perfect among others. Leonardo Daniel was born on July 26, 1954 in Mexico City and also has a successful and rising career as a television and film producer.

Leonardo Daniel López de Rodas García, better known in the entertainment world of acting as just Leonardo Daniel, came into the world on July 26, 1954 in Mexico City. His father is the also actor Lorenzo de Rodas, a Spanish actor, and his mother is the journalist and actress María Idalia. We are aware that Leonardo studied acting at the Andrés Soler Theater Academy, at the time when the first actor, Luis Gimeno, was a director. There he had among his companions José Elías Moreno and Daniela Romo.

For the year 1975, Leonardo Daniel had the news that the famous producer named Valentin Pimstein was looking for new youthful talents for his soap operas. Without thinking twice, Leonardo went to do the tests and it turned out that Pimstein was so fascinated with his work that he decided to include him with a secondary role (the character of Aldo) in the soap opera known as Mundo de juguete, which he had as main actors Graciela Mauri, Irma Lozano and Ricardo Blume. It is this participation that is considered the beginning of Leonardo Daniel’s artistic career.

In the year 1975 Leonardo Daniel  made his appearance in the telenovela known by the name of Poor Clara. While the following year, in 1976 we would see him appear in the film that became known under the title Survivors of the Andes.

A little later, around the year 1977, Leonardo Daniel  was in the telenovela known as I did not ask to live, where he was in charge of the interpretation of the character of Manuel, it would be the same way this year when he would do his appearance in the telenovela called Humillados y ofendidos, in which he played the character of Alejandro Correa.
The following year, in 1978, he was part of the cast of María José, where he would have to interpret the character of Alfredo, in the same way we are aware that he made his appearance on the big screen with the film known under the title of Patrolman 777 .

Later, in 1980, we could enjoy his performance in the telenovelas known with the titles: Ambición, Divino tesoro y Juventud (where it is our knowledge that he played the character of Pablo), then  Leonardo Daniel  was in the telenovela known by the name of El hogar que yo robé, where he was in charge of interpreting the character of Eduardo. A short time later, in 1982 we would see him in Chispita as Juan Carlos de la Mora.

While in 1983 Leonardo Daniel  would give life to Miguel Martínez Bustamante in La fiera. In 1984 he would be in charge of interpreting David Kendall in the soap opera that was known by the name of Yes, my love.
In 1985 he gave life to the character of Federico in the soap opera called Principessa, and we could also see him in Juana Iris, a year later we could enjoy his performance in the soap opera that was known under the title of Seduction as Javier Fuentes, in 1987 he appeared as José Luis in How it hurts to shut up; and as Enrique in Rosa Salvaje, a telenovela in which he would be until the end of its transmission in 1988.

Already in the middle of 1988 Leonardo Daniel  made his appearance in the telenovela Encadenados, where it is our knowledge that he was in charge of giving life to the character of Daniel Lazcano; and we cannot forget his participation in the film that was known under the title of But I am still the king.

A short time later, around the year 1990, we would see him on the big screen with the films of Justiciero callejero and Por tu maldito amor. While the following year, in 1991, Leonardo Daniel  was in: That woman drives me crazy, Silence of death, I have to kill them, The extension worker, Cabaret woman, The Mexican ninja, Love bubbles, and Undressed and rowdy.

In 1992 he would participate in the films known by the names of: Another case of rape, Help me compadre, Terrorist command, and Empire of the damned, we cannot forget that it would also be this year when he would make his appearance on the small screen with the soap opera which was known under the title De frente al Sol, where Leonardo Daniel  was in charge of the interpretation of the character named Adrián Bermúdez in his young version.

The following year, in 1993, Leonardo Daniel  would be in the films Kill the Mexican, Waiting for death, Persecuted, Infernal Apocalypse, Furia de barrio, Fray Bartolomé de las Casas, and Kino, a year later we could enjoy his performance in the soap opera known as Agujetas de color de rosa, in which he was in charge of the interpretation of Miguel Davis. While in the field of cinema we would see him acting in: Caminantes…si hay camines, La perversión, and Muralla de tinieblas.

Then Leonardo Daniel  appeared in the movie Criminal Desire. While in the world of soap operas we could see it in María José (as Octavio Campuzano), and María la del barrio (as Dr. Hinojosa).
In the following year, 1996, he was in Cañaveral de pasiones as Fausto Santos, in La antorcha ignited as Juan Aldama, we must not leave out his participation in the film Lluvia de diamantes.

In 1997 we saw him in the film known as Con fuego en la sangre and in the telenovela called El secreto de Alejandra, a production in which he was in charge of giving life to the character of Sergio Duval. We cannot forget that it would be in this same year when  Leonardo Daniel would win the TVyNovelas Awards with the category of “best supporting actor” , thanks to his excellent participation in Cañaveral de pasiones. 

The following year, in 1998, he would participate in the films of: The father of the DEA, The gardener and the federal, With a borrowed life, Prepared to die, Kidnapping: Death notice, and Outside the law.
Later, in 1999 Leonardo Daniel  would give life to the character of Armando Aguilar in the soap opera called Háblame de amor, a role in which he would be until the end of the production transmission in the year 2000.
And already in the middle of the year 2000, we would see him act in the cinematographic tapes that were known by the names of: The dead do not speak, The law of gray, Wedding with death, The law of bargain II, and When the power is.

In 2001 Leonardo Daniel  was in the films of: La sombra del azabache, El vengador de cabrones, Casi el inferno, and La banda de los panchitos 2. It was also during this year that he participated in the television program known as What We women keep quiet, giving life to a character named Jorge in the episode titled “With the same coin”.
And in the field of soap operas, he was in Cuando seas mía with the character of Joaquín Sánchez Serrano.

The following year, in 2002, we could enjoy his performance in the telenovela called Agua y aceite, where he played the role of Hector; and we also know that this year he would begin to participate in Doubt as Daniel. We must not forget that it was also in 2002 when he added to his artistic career the films titled: El hijo de Juan Charrasqueado, Furia de scorpions, Kill Jesús Pérez, Marcado por la muerte, La tomb del mojado, and Perros salvajes.

In 2003 Leonardo Daniel  was in the movie Trapped. While in the field of soap operas, he participated in the production known by the name of Rebeca. The following year, in 2004, he was in Inocente de ti as Filemón. While from 2006 to 2012 we could see it in soap operas: My life is you, The two faces of Ana, Valeria, Indomitable Soul, The devil knows more, Poor devil, and Brave heart. From 2013 to 2018 he appeared in the melodramas of: The Captain, Love without reservation, The Lord of Heaven, El Chema, The Prodigal Daughter, My Perfect Family, and Christmas Miracles, Cradle of Wolves, Doctors, Lifeline and overcome heartbreak.

In mid-2021, the telenovela Vencer el pasado premiered  , the third and final installment of the successful television franchise “Vencer” produced by Rosy Ocampo and which, after its first two novels, closed the trilogy with “Vencer el pasado” which achieved very good results. audience levels thanks to the plot that all the viewers really liked. In the telenovela “Vencer el pasado” the actor Leonardo Daniel played Lisandro.
