Germán Montero was born on the date of May 21, 1979 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. He is of our knowledge that he grew up in a humble but very united family and with solid principles. This is how in several interviews he has mentioned that he had a beautiful childhood, in which he was free to do many things that any child would like to do. When he was still very young, he worked selling popsicles on the streets, while selling chewing gum when he was on board the trucks. In the same way, he has confessed that one of the great dreams of his childhood was to have his own video games, something that he replaced with the fun that visits to the ranch known by the name of Primavera Angostura, which is located very close to Guamuchil, offered him.

During his studies at the Germán Montero elementary school,  he stood out as a diligent student, obtaining only grades out of 10 . Not so when he went to high school he considers that he derailed, and his grades plummeted, which coincided with the fact that his family’s economic situation became more difficult, so that instead of selling lollipops on the streets and chewing gum in trucks, was now dedicated to selling American chocolates in the offices.

It was with this business that his financial situation began to improve in such a way that he made the decision to stop studying, so he no longer had access to a university degree, although in different interviews he has commented that if he had entered the university he would have liked to study international trade.

Regarding the beginnings of his artistic career, we must point out that from his earliest childhood an interest in music awoke in him, partly influenced by a neighbor who worked as a band entertainer, from whom he received the invitation to be a singer. . This is how one day he decided to audition and appeared with Banda Parranda, an experience that certainly caused him some disappointment, since at that time Germán Montero  was only 15 years old, and when he realized that being part of from that band did not carry the seriousness that he expected, he made the decision to leave the group.

A short time later, the same neighbor invited him to join the musical group called La Falla, which Germán Montero joined, although without much illusion.

The first band that Germán Montero participated in was  Banda Ahome , and soon after, Germán Montero became a member of the so-called Banda Puro Sinaloa , in which it is considered that he began to rise on the road to fame due to the success he had his song titled “My Love”.

Later, Germán Montero became part of the San Martín Band, until in 2001 he moved to the famous Arrolladora Banda El Limón . Since then he had such a degree of success that he decided that music was his true vocation, being the overwhelming Banda El Limón represented everything he had always sought to find by belonging to a musical group.

It is in this way that being one of the members of the Arrolladora Banda El Limón, the singer Germán Montero rose to fame both nationally and internationally.

Some time later, in 2007, she decided to go ahead with her dream of being alone, her first album being the one known as Pensando en ti, from which came the famous singles: “Hidden lovers”, Thinking of you”. , “Que nos separa” and “Ay que borrachera”, musical themes that were positioned among the first places on the lists dedicated to the regional Mexican genre. We cannot ignore the fact that both in our country and in the United States it received the distinction of “gold record”, managing to sell more than 70 thousand copies, undoubtedly great successes for  Germán Montero.

Another of his most outstanding achievements in his solo career was his duet with the artist Luis Fonsi , also his duet with Vicente Fernández, and of course his interpretation of the classic “México lindo y querido” for the Chivas USA match against Chicago, song that he interpreted together with Graciela Beltrán.

Later, in 2008, Germán Montero  sang with La Banda El Recodo, in addition to which we are aware that in that same year he was the winner of the Oye con una Musa Awards in the category of “soloist revelation”, a distinction he received thanks to to his album known under the title of Thinking of you.
