Early life and education of Zerlina Maxwell
Zerlina Maxwell was born on November 16, 1981 in the United States to peacher parents. Maxwell is American by her nationality and she is of African American ethnicity/race.
Maxwell earned her BA in International Relations from Tufts University in 2003. She then attended Rutgers Law School in Newark, completing her graduation in 2013.
Zerlina Maxwell’s career
Shortly after completing her undergraduate degree, Zerlina Maxwell began working with Blanco y Caso as a paralegal where she worked from 2004 to 2006. She then moved to Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman where she worked for one year.
In 2008, he joined Legal Update where he worked for over two years. At the same time, she worked as a field organizer during Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Later, she served as a contributing writer for Essence magazine.
Maxwell appears on various talk shows and public events to promote women’s safety and gender equality. Earlier, she mentioned, she herself was a survivor of sexual assault and prefers to call herself a survivor activist.
