Christian Ward, 31, better known by his stage name Yung Berg, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Chicago. Yung’s first single was ‘Sexy Lady’ featuring the junior R&B singer released in April 2007. He had previously been signed to DMX’s Bloodline Records as Iceberg.
Yung Berg also appeared on the Exit Wounds soundtrack, and was later signed to Epic Records. Her debut album called Look What You Made Me was released in 2008.
Early age and education
Yung Berg was born on September 9, 1985 in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. Yung belongs to the American nationality and his ethnic origin is black.
Yung, originally from Chicago, already had a record deal signed with DMX’s Blooding Records when he was 15 years old. However, his parents were quick to get him out, sending Berg to a military boarding school in Montana in 2011.
Berg moved to Los Angeles to exit his career after returning from school. He signed his first record label when he was still a teenager, however, he was sent to military school before beginning his professional career.
Career
Moving on to his career, Yung Berg signed with DMX’s Bloodline Records in 2001. Berg moved to Los Angeles after finishing school in 2003. After that, he worked as a recording assistant and recording assistant for Disturbing the Peace member and rapper from Chicago in 2005.
Yung Berg’s single Sexy Lady became a hit on Los Angeles radio and was signed to Epic Records. Her six track EP Almost Famous: The Sexy Lady EP was released in July 2007.
Yung Berg released a mixtape compilation on Berg’s new label, Yung Berg Movement, or YFM, featuring singer Mia Rey and Chicago rapper Jordon Hollywood. Yung Berg is currently executive producing the returning singer. Tamar Braxton Third studio album in 2013.
Yung Berg also co-wrote and co-produced for Nicki Minaj’s album called The PinKprint in 2014. During the same time, he appeared on the season of the VH1 show called Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.
Personal life and adventure
Yung Berg has been dating his longtime girlfriend Masika Kalysha. However, the rapper allegedly assaulted a woman who grabbed his neck in December 2015, ending his relationship with Masika.
Yung Berg has had many affairs before dating Masika, including Joie Chavis (2013-2014), Jaslene González (2008-2009), and Arica Kane (2006-2014). He also had encounters with Teairra Mari, Karrine Steffans, Jenna Shea, Milani Rose, Casha Darjean, and Kat Stacks.
Yung Berg has already been accused of failing to care for his son named Lamont McFerrin according to his son’s mother, Breanna McFerrin, who shared a note on Instagram about her frustrations.
