Yul Edochie was born on 7 January 1982 to a family of famous, talented, and richest actor Pete Edochie. He is from Anambra, a state located in the southeastern part of Nigeria.
The super-talented actor Yul Edochie was the last child among the six children of Pete Edochie. However, he was raised in both Enugu and Lagos.
After attending primary and secondary school, he attended the University of Port Harcourt, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts.
He began his acting career at a tender age and he has featured in so many Nigerian movies.
Yul Edochie married at the age of 22 in 2004 to May Yul-Edochie. In 2022, he announced his new marriage to his colleague Judy Austin making her his second wife.
