Yul Edochie begs Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu

Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has made a plea to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Kanu has been held in custody for two years since his arrest and repatriation from Kenya. His detention stems from his advocacy for the realization of Biafra. Despite court orders for his release, the Nigerian government has refused to set him free.

Edochie, in a tweet, appealed to Tinubu, acknowledging his long-standing fight for democracy and requesting him intervene and release Kanu from the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS). Edochie addressed Tinubu as a respected leader and referred to himself as Tinubu’s son, emphasizing the humility of his request.
