1. When he was 4 years old he broke his neck in a wrestling accident. The 3 deep scars on his forehead are the result of the halo brace he had to wear for a long time.
2. He was largely raised by his grandmother.
3. Shortly after finding fame, he was arrested for a robbery. He spent 6 months in a juvenile detention center in Tallulah, Louisiana.
4. Before he was due to perform in Austin, he was arrested by the United States. He has been charged with two attempted murders, as it was alleged that he jumped out of his vehicle and fired at a group of people on South Baton Rouge. YB had openly fired Boosie in retaliation for the murder of his close friend and local rapper NBA. He had to spend 6 months in parish prison awaiting trial. YoungBoy eventually pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years probation and 3 years probation.
5. He was released in May 2017 after a plea deal and booking bail. After being released from parish jail, he decided to move to New Orleans to get away from the smoldering crime scene in his hometown.
