Yash, real name Naveen Kumar Gowda, is a famous Indian film actor, especially recognized for his appearance in KGF: Chapter 1 in 2018. He is currently set to appear in KGF: Chapter 2 which was postponed due to Covid . His other acting projects include Modalasala (2010), Rajadhani (2011), Drama (2012), Googly (2013), Gajakesari (2014) and Masterpiece (2015).

The internationally acclaimed actor was born on January 8, 1986 as Naveen Kumar Gowda. He was born as the son of his parents, Arun Kumar J. and Pushpa in Bhuvanahalli, Hassan district, Karnataka, India. His father had worked in the KSRTC transport service, then as a BMTC driver, while his mother, a housewife.

He spent his childhood in Mysore and has a younger sister, Nandini. Additionally, he pursued his Pre-College Course (PUC) at Mahajana Education Society (MES). After that, he joined the Benaka theater troupe which was formed by the famous playwright BV Karanth.

Soon the duo started dating after working together in movies, however, they kept their relationship private for years. In August 2016, they secretly engaged in Goa before disclosing it to the media. They later got married on December 9, 2016 in a private ceremony in Bangalore. They had welcomed two children: a daughter, born on December 2, 2018, and a second child on October 30, 2019.
