Tragically, Woody faced the loss of two brothers in 1975; Billy in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles, and Keith due to a cocaine overdose in Florida. Libet battled Alzheimer’s until her passing in 2017.

Woody’s educational journey began at the Millbrook School in Stanford, New York, and he spent his summers working at Johnson & Johnson while pursuing his studies at the University of Arizona.
Career
Woody Johnson led The Johnson Company, Inc. He testified before the U.S. Senate about a tax avoidance scheme, eventually paying his owed taxes in 2006. Acquiring the New York Jets in 2000, he later returned as chairman after his UK ambassadorship.
Woody attempted to buy Chelsea F.C. in 2022. As U.S. Ambassador to the UK, he oversaw the embassy’s relocation and advocated for a post-Brexit trade deal.
Johnson’s comments on trade drew controversy, with concerns over NHS involvement. He also pushed for deregulation of U.S. food exports to the UK.
Woody faced allegations of inappropriate comments in 2020, which were later deemed unsubstantiated. In 2018, he sought to move the British Open to Trump’s Turnberry Golf Resort, raising ethical concerns. Despite advice against it, Woody pursued the request with a British minister.
