Burna Boy in an Instagram interview has clarified that he is not competing with Wizkid because their style of music is different. according to the singer, Wizkid sings about Women while he is all about real life and women.
It should be noted that Burna Boy recently beat Wizkid to win the Best International Act category at the 2021 edition of the BET Awards that took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
The Grammy winner was nominated alongside Wizkid, Diamond Platnumz of Tanzania, Emicida of Brazil, Headie One Young T & Bugsey of the United Kingdom, Youssoupha, and Aya Nakamura from France.
The African Giant has won the Best International Act category for the third time in a row. He won it at the 2019 and 2020 BET Awards.
The Nigerian Female Singer, Tems also lost the ‘Best International New Act’ gong to Bree Runway, the English singer and songwriter.
Similarly, the Grammy winner had previously revealed that his Parent asked him to win a grammy award.
The singer made the revelation when he took the delivery of the Grammy Award he won on the 14th of March 2021
He said his parent prayed for excellent children, instead of houses, cars, or material things, stating that his parents asked his sisters for stellar degrees and from him a Grammy.
He further said his while one of his sisters had the first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering, and here is he with his grammy plaque.
