Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy – Battle of the best settled.

The rise of the Nigerian music industry in recent times has been nothing but phenomenal, the industry has produced two Grammy Award winners, a  prolific World Guinness Record Holder and a Double Platinum-certified artist.

Talented acts like Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy have made the country proud by taking the industry to the international scene.

These talented acts have performed on the international stage and initiated several international collaboration with artist like Beyonce, Sam smith Nicki-Minaj e.t.c

These talented acts have also brought home international honours and awards like the Grammy, MOBO, BET e.t.c

But these developments came with their own disadvantages, like fostering disunity in the industry due to unnecessary competition among the artists.

However, many fans are not helping the issues either,  as they unnecessarily pitch these celebrities against each other.

Going through Quora today, I saw a question where a user asked: “who is the biggest artist in Africa between Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy?”

I went through the answers hoping I could get something reasonable but many were just defending their favourite while defaming and berating others.

Sincerely speaking, I have my favourite among the triad, but I think the competition and comparison between them are quite unnecessary.

Davido is a very hard-working artist, who has done excellently well to carve his name on the stone of the Nigerian Music Industry. He has not only worked himself to the top of the industry but also pulled up other upcoming artists with him.

Wizkid is probably the most talented one among the triad, The singer with one of the superb vocal of our time has set both national and international records, that are not likely to broken soon.

Burna Boy to me is the most creative of all, a lyrical genius who has done quite well to place himself in the international industry. initiating and participating in collaborations that we couldn’t have imagined in the last five years

From my observation over the years, these artists are completely different and their diversification is what is putting the industry on the Map.

So instead of comparing and pitching them against each other in the name of searching for the best, Why don’t we  just celebrated them for their individual successes
