Winifer Fernandez is one of the most successful and multi-talented volleyball players in the world. Widely recognized as skilled, intelligent, fast and consistent, she has earned numerous prestigious accolades at such a young age and helped several renowned clubs win titles at various levels as well. She having represented her country at various youth levels, including World Grand Prix Group 2, where she managed to secure gold. Winifer Fernandez was born on January 6, 1995 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Santiago Province, Dominican Republic. He started his career at the age of 10 as a coach. Miguel Durán , moved to Santo Domingo to join the youth national team, in 2009.

Career
Widely known as skilled, quick and intelligent, Winifer Fernández quickly built an impressive reputation with the Dominican club Santigo winning the 2008 Dominican Republic Volleyball League bronze medal.
Fernández later joined the Cienfuegos club and won the 2009 Santiago Provincial championship as well as the Best Libero award with him. She also showed her best performance at the 2011 Women’s Youth Pan American Cup, winner of several prestigious awards, including a bronze medal.and the award for Best Libero.
Fernández also helped the club win the gold medal of the 2011 provincial tournament. For her marvelous performance throughout the tournament, she again received the Best Digger, Best Receiver and Best Libero awards.
With his under 20 national team, Fernández won the gold medal playing in the 2012 NORCECA Junior Championship. And he also led his team to qualify for the 2013 World Junior Championship.
The year 2013 also brought further recognition and success by winning ‘Most Valuable Player’ and a gold medal at the Baja California International Cup. Later she was awarded as Volleyball Player of the Year by the Guild of Sports Writers of the Province of Santiago.
Fernandez is also quite active on social media like Instagram, where she has more than 102k followers as of 2019. She posted a photo together with a mysterious guy on her Instagram account, on September 15.
