Why Zinoleesky and Mohbad Was arrested By NDLEA

Young Nigerian music Stars, Oniyide Azeez popularly known as Zinoleesky and Ilerioluwa Oladimeji professionally known as Mohbad were arrested during a raid conducted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) last night.

Videos shared online showed the NDLEA operatives who invaded a house the singers were in by allegedly jumping over its fence, placing handcuffs on the singers.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in response to BBC News noted that the singers were arrested for possession of illegal drugs identified as cannabis and molly

The BBC report noted that the agency arrested the singers along with three other people and the arrest was made after they received information concerning the singer’s possessions of illegal drug

Femi Babafemi, The NDLEA spokesperson who spoke to BBC Said: “We bin arrest three males and two females, we arrest Zino and Mobad and we dey investigate to find ut di level of di suspects complicity for di mata.”

Babafemi further revealed that investigations done by the agency will determine if the accuseds’ are going to the charged to court, or cautioned and rehabilitated

A Twitter user identified as Tosin Adeda noted that the singers were arrested for blocking the road and showing off illegal drugs.

Zinoleesky, a signee of Marlian record once revealed that his passion for music was inspired by his environment. While growing up, he met a lot of people who played different roles in making him the person he is today, but he was inspired to keep pursuing music as a  career after Kizz Daniel followed him on Instagram, after one of his rap videos went viral.

In  2019 Zinoleesky surprised his fans when he turned down an offer by Davido to sign him into his record label DMW. In December of the same year, Naira Marley signed the Singer into his own record label, Marlian Music, he was signed alongside some other Yoruba singers like Mohbad, Cblack, and Fabian Blu.
