Why White Women Are Attracted To Black Men

According to the United States Census Bureau, the number of interracially married couples has increased from 310,000 in 1970 to 2,340,000 in 2008 and a high percentage of interracial marriages are between a black man and a white woman.  Which begs the question Why are White Women attracted to Black men?

Before you start judging me for prejudice it is important to note that interracial marriage or relationship is something we are all happy for as it generally represents the decline of racial discrimination among societal folks. so this article is just for academic and informative purposes without any form of prejudice.

It is generally known that White women are generally attracted to Black Men because of their s*xual abilities, even relationship experts have ascribed sexual satisfaction as the major reason white women date black men.

Some others believed that white men are not masculine enough compared with blacks, therefore seeking relationships with black men. Studies also show that some white women get acquainted with black men in rebellion against the old prejudice of whites against blacks.

Aside from the sexual attractiveness comfortability and compatibility of the couple’s sexuality is another reason for the recent rise in interracial relationships and marriages

According to a United States research,  “Partners in interracial relationships reported significantly higher relationship satisfaction compared to those in intraracial relationships”.

However, no differences were found for conflict or attachment style, and no differences were found between interracial and intraracial relationships in relationship quality, conflict patterns, relationship efficacy, coping style, and attachment.
