Why is Sunday Igboho declared wanted?

The Department of State Services (DSS) has declared Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho wanted.
This was announced following a midnight raid by DSS operatives on his residence in the Soka area of Ibadan Oyo State, but he escaped. The attack has since has sparked reactions among Nigerians.
Who is Sunday Igboho?
Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho is a Yoruba rights activist, who came into the limelight recently after issuing a quit notice to Fulani herders in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State.
Sunday Igboho, who claimed to be fighting injustice stormed the Fulani colony the Ibarapa area of Oyo State, where he accused the Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir of conniving with Fulani herders to commit atrocities in the area. Adeyemo subsequently issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Seriki and those he described as criminal herders to quit, not only the community but also the entire Ibarapaland.
For Adeyemo, the increasing spate of killings and kidnappings of the residents of Oke Ogun and Ibarapa is the handiwork of herders. To checkmate these criminal activities, it became necessary to issue a strong warning in the form of a seven-day ultimatum.
According to reports, Sunday Igboho was also involved in the dirty politics between the late political leader, Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu, and former Oyo State governor, Senator Rasheed Ladoja whom he supported and acted as his bodyguard throughout the tussle and also led his camp in the violence that occurred then. Ladoja was illegally impeached as Oyo governor in 2006 due to a political disagreement he had with the late Adedibu but was later reinstated after 11 months through a court order.
Why is Sunday Igboho declared wanted?
According to reports, the Department of State Services (DSS) carried out a raid on Sunday Igboho residence after intelligence reports revealed that Igboho stockpiled weapons in his house.
In the course of the raid, there was a gun duel between the security operatives and Sunday Igboho’s Men, in the course of the exchange, two of Igboho’s armed men were gunned down while the rest were subdued and arrested.
Seven AK-47 assault rifles, three Pump Action guns, thirty fully charged AK-47 magazines, five thousand rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, five Cutlasses, one Jackknife, one Pen Knife, two Pistol holsters, one binoculars, two whistles; fifty Cartridges; eighteen Walkie-Talkies, and three Voodoo charm jackets/traditional body armor;
According to the DSS Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunnaya, the gun duel which lasted for an hour offered Sunday Igboho the chance to escape. He however stated that Sunday Igboho will be arrested and charged for attacking Security operatives.
Where is Sunday Igboho?
Sunday Igboho has rebutted the claim of the Department of State Services (DSS) that he is on the run. He further described the entire event that took place during the attack on his residence to BBC news.
According to the secessionist, he was in the house around 1:30 am when he heard gunshots. He disclosed that the gunmen who claimed to be DSS operatives told him to come out of his home.
He said that he was surprised when he saw the gunmen dressed in DSS and Nigerian army uniforms because he has not killed anyone or committed any crime.
In furtherance, Sunday explained that he is not a trouble maker or a terrorist, he is just an activist fighting for the safety of his people through Violence free protest.
He stated that Government has refused to do the right thing in curbing the menace of Fulani bandits and herders, who might be responsible for the insurgency that is bewildering the country in recent times
Hence, the reason he decides to fight for his own people, he stated that two people were killed during the shooting many of his vehicles and property were destroyed.
