3. On August 12, 2007, Wesley was sold to Spanish club Real Madrid for €27 million.
4. When he first joined Real Madrid, Sneijder picked the number 23 shirt previously worn by former England footballer David Beckham.
5. After Brazilian professional footballer Robinho moved to Manchester City in 2008, Sneijder changed his shirt number to 10.
