Nigerian Iconic Nollywood star Rita Dominic has stated that Nigerians and its leaders are watching the country slip into Anarchy.

In recent times there has been an increase in the rate of insecurity and unrest in the country. communal clashes, Banditry kidnapping, and terrorism have become the order of the day in different parts of the country.

In a Twitter post on Monday, the 45-year-old movie star said elected officials must do more to address the worsening state of insecurity in the country before they get out of hand.

According to her, there must be concerted efforts by the government to douse the rising tension in the country for peace to reign.

Dominic said the “harassment and killing of innocent citizens” cannot address the challenges confronting the country.

“I am afraid that we are watching Nigeria slip into anarchy. It is surreal. Our elected officials need to work harder to douse the tension in the country. We need peace to reign. Harassing and killing innocent citizens can never solve anything,” she wrote.

According to Wikipedia Rita Dominic is a multiple award-winning Nollywood actress, producer, model, television personality, investor, philanthropist, and co-founder of the Audrey Silva Company. She has been regarded as one of the best industrious actresses in Nollywood and also one of the highest-paid actresses in Nigeria. Rita Dominic is currently a GLO Ambassador and the CEO of Rita Dominic Productions.

Dominic is a member of the Royal Nwaturuocha family of the Aboh Mbaise local government area in Imo State. Rita Dominic is the youngest of four children. Her late parents were health care professionals, her father was a medical doctor, and her mother a nursing officer. Dominic attended the prestigious Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, before heading to the University of Port Harcourt, where she graduated with a BA (Honours) Degree in Theatre Arts in 1999.
