Wendy Crewson Biography

Born and raised in Canada, actress Wendy Crewson is popularly known for her role in the drama film, The Doctor. Crewson made her acting debut in the television series, It Was Girlfriends and made her debut in the Skullduggery films portraying the character of Barbara. Over the years, she worked on several television series and movies for which she has won several awards and she has also been inducted into the Walk of Fame . Crewson admitted that she is a lesbian after splitting from her ex-husband. Michael Murphy with whom she shares two children.

Early life and education of Wendy Crewson

Wendy Crewson was born Wendy Jane Crewson to June Doreen and Robert Binnie Crewson on May 9 ^, 1956 in Hamilton, Ontario, under the birth sign Taurus. She is Canadian based on her nationality and ethnicity, she is white. She has a younger brother, Brad Crewson .

Crewson won the Lorne Greene Awards for Outstanding Work in the Theater while studying at Queen’s University in Kingston, graduating in 1977. He then joined the Weber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

Wendy Crewson’s career

Wendy Crewson made her television debut in 1980 from It Was Girlfriends which was followed by appearances on The Littlest Tramp , Hngin’ In and Mazes and Monsters . In 1983, she starred in Skullduggery directed by Ota Richter , her first film role.

Crewson’s breakthrough came in 1991, landing a role in a dramatic film, The Doctor directed by Randa Haines . She later appeared in movies, such as Friends! , The good son , Air Force One , The cleaning , The vote , Autumn and In the forest among others. She also acted in The Santa Claus in 1994 and later in the entire franchise of hers.

Crewson credited for his roles in television series including, Night Heat , A Hobo’s Christmas, Studio 5-B, Ebbie, The Beast, ReGenesis, Endgame, Jack, Forgive Me, The Son, and The Good Witch among others. In 2017, he appeared in a few episodes of the CBC drama. Frankie Drake Mysteries .

They share two children together. Their first child, Maggie Murphy was born in 1989 and second child, John Branton Murphy was born in 1992. In 2009, the couple divorced for some undisclosed reasons, however, after five years, in late 2014, she came out as a lesbian. , which could possibly be the reason they got divorced.

According to her, before Crewson went public with his sexual orientation, he feared the reactions of his children, but surprisingly, his daughter was totally in agreement with the fact, while his son appreciated his bravery.

Wendy Crewson caused quite a stir in the media when she officially came out as a lesbian. But the good thing is that she is not involved in any controversy either. She prefers to stay out of the media and keep her private life discreet.
