The former and talented Canadian actress was born on May 9, 1956, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, as Wendy Jane Crewson. She was born as the daughter of father Robert Binnie Crewson and mother June Doreen. She has her brother Brad Crewson, together they grew up in Manitoba, Canada. Also, she hasn’t revealed much information about her early childhood beginnings or her parents.

After completing her acting studies, she began appearing in a number of Canadian television shows and films of the 80s and 90s. It includes the early 1990s film ‘Skullduggery’, ‘Night Heat’, ‘Tanner ’88’ and ‘Street Legal’. Later, she got her first breakthrough role as “Dr. Leslie Abbott” in the 1991 drama film “The Doctor”.

On television, she had made her debut with “War Brides” in 1980 in the role of “Kate” and in the main role of “Terry” in the Canadian series “Home Fires”. In 1982, she first appeared in the American drama ‘Mazes and Monsters’ as ‘Kate Finch’. For her critical role in the Canadian series “Saving Hope”, she received a Canadian Screen Award in 2012.
