With many wondering the message or motive behind the act, we can only tell so much from the reactions.
Some hinted that it was a means of protest against the bad state of the road. Hence, the sarcasm is intended to get the attention of the government.
Here are some reactions:
@sudenguy: It was a means of protest
@9jaonion: That brings more publicity to the community. That’s an innovative way of bringing attention to a place
@YeyeOlokun: I did like to hear what the governor, the chairman & councillor of the local government. Also what the senator and house of rep members of this place have to say about the state of this road. Their constituents must pressure them into addressing it. #apathy is dangerous #owerri
@Autodidact88: Chai. Dis my village road still dey lyk dis. Little wonder I don’t feel like coming back home just yet.
@hofeshhomes: Lol, probably calling the attention of the Governor.
However, some others believe it is an act or comedy skit put up by Nigerians to gain public attention.
