American author, model and lawyer, Vicki Iovine is best known as the author of the hugely successful ‘Girlfriends’ Guide’ series of books, which became the basis for the ‘Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce’ television show.

Iovine is a former television producer and radio show host. She has also modeled for Playboy magazine for its September 1979 issue. Iovine was once honored with the Florence Crittendon Woman of the Year award for serving mothers and adolescent girls with mental retardation.

Early age and education

Vicki Iovine was born as Vicki Ann McCarty on January 13, 1954 in Los Angeles, California, USA and raised in Southern California. She is of white-American ethnicity and has US citizenship.

Iovine went to the University of California, Berkeley and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He later earned a law degree from Hastings College of the Law. Iovine also earned an LL.B. in International Law from the University of Cambridge.

Vicki Iovine was married twice in her life. She first married Jimmy Iovine , a record producer, entrepreneur, music executive, and businessman in 1987. The former couple have four children, Jade , Jeremy , Jamie , and Jessica . However, after being together for over twenty-three years, they got divorced in 2009.

After her first divorce, she exchanged vows with David Coiro again in May 2014. They currently live in Los Angeles.
