Vicente Fernandez (born February 17, 1940) is a famous Mexican singer, actor, and film producer from the city of Huentitán El Alto in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Before becoming a successful singer, he used to sing on the street.
He is the holder of so many awards including Grammy, Latin Grammy and Lo Nuestro Awards. He used to perform live on stage until 2016. He is the only singer in Mexico who has sold more than 50 million copies of his songs in the world.
The 79-year-old began his musical career at the age of eight. He used to sing in small functions and on the street to earn money. In 1954, his family moved to Tijuana. He dropped out after fifth grade and started working as a bartender or dishwasher in a hotel.
