Venus Williams Workout-Routine
training preference
The Olympic gold medalist’s favorite workout is cardio. Given the choice, she would only stick to cardio exercises. Fitness is vital to her as she cannot perform at her best in a match if she is not in shape.
Dissatisfied with: Workout
There’s one type of cardio she doesn’t like, and that’s long-distance running.
training program
The American tennis player admits that she’s not a good long-distance runner, but she’s good at fast plyometrics and sprints. She says that these exercises are more fascinating and time flies much faster.
If you’re thinking of trying plyometrics, you should know that it’s not good for beginners. It should be done at the beginning of each workout and there should be a break of 48 hours between two plyometric sessions, otherwise your joints may suffer.
The Wimbledon champion varies her training regime, depending on how much time is left in her upcoming match and how tough it will be. With just two weeks to go you can see that she’s training as hard as she can and in two days she’ll be making her way into the game. When Venus is in training mode, she considers workouts to be as important as tennis practice. She spends equal amounts of time in the gym and on the court.
Usually she wakes up in the morning and goes tothe court immediately. Depending on how far away her next match is, she’ll spend a few hours on the court and then head to the gym to spend the next few hours there. This routine helps her stay strong and avoid injury. During training, she chooses distance running, bikes, plyometrics, swimming and strength exercises. Venus believes in exercising every part of her body, even the parts she doesn’t know are there.
Another workout she prefers is dancing. She says it’s a fun way to get a workout compared to spending 30 minutes at the gym and running on a treadmill.
Off-season workout
When Serena Williams’ sister enjoys some off-season, she works out with half an hour of cardio. It works for her and helps her stay fit during the off-season.
rest after training
She always remembers to rest after every workout as her body needs it and it’s very important.

The owner of the fitness collection EleVen considers it her duty to be healthy and therefore it is always of crucial importance to her. She’s been training and working hard for a while so she doesn’t find it difficult. Venus is now an expert on how much to exercise and what to eat to achieve optimal levels of performance.
Be relaxed and confident
One of the things that tennis pros do so well is they just want to be confident and relaxed. When she does, her best comes out and she feels good about herself.

Health tip for travelers
The talented tennis pro wants travelers to know an important fitness tip. If you do a workout in the morning, even if it’s a small workout, you can enjoy the rest of the day sightseeing and other activities.
Advice to young girls
Venus wants to be an inspiration for young girls. She believes that everyone, especially young girls, should be proud of who they are. Young women often think that they don’t look good enough, or that they shouldn’t look like that, or that they shouldn’t do some things to look good. Only you know your worth better than anyone else, so you should only believe your opinion the most.
