Actor Joseph Van Vicker, best known by his stage name Van Vicker, was born in Ghana on August 1, 1977, to a Dutch father and a Ghanaian/Liberian mother gave birth to Vicker. Van Vicker was raised by a single mother because his father passed away when he was six years old.
Being raised by just his mother made Vicker very close to his mother and views her as his hero and this is a result of the early passing of his father.
Together with fellow actor Majid Michel, Vicker attended Mfantsipim School. Also, he studied at the African University College of Communications and graduated in 2021.
The actor began his journey into the entertainment world by hosting programs on the radio. He has been a host for years before he began his acting career.
