Uber drivers and POS operators Lured, Robbed, and Burned by Serial Killers in Ogun State
The police spokesperson, Abimbola Ojeyemi stated that the arrest came after there was a missing report of Abiodun Odebunmi, a POS Operator in the state by his POS attendant.
The police in Ogun state have arrested four suspects who are killing POS Operators and Uber drivers in Ogun state.
The police spokesperson, Abimbola Ojeyemi stated that the arrest came after there was a missing report of Abiodun Odebunmi, a POS Operator in the state by his POS attendant.
The report stated that Abiodun went out to meet with Kehinde on April 17 for POS transaction, and he had on him the sum of 4 million naira, and they have been unavailable to reach him after then.
After thorough search by the police detectives, his body was found burnt in an uncompleted building at Arobieye area of Ota.
After further investigation by the police, they traced the suspects to Otun Ekiti in Ekiti State where he was hiding.
Kehind later fled Ekiti to Kwara, and later to Benin Republic, and he was apprehended when he returned to the state, where he later confessed to the crime.
He stated that they were waiting for the victim to bring the money to them in Ota in Ogun State, where he and his gang members macheted him to death and burnt his body in order to hide their tracks.
He further confessed that their targets are cab drivers and POS operators.
The suspects are named Johnson Fakeye, Jamiu Akinola, Kehinde Salilu, and Abiodun Akinola.
