Twitter on fire as ‘King of Boys’ sequel released on Netflix coincides with Wizkid's

So many reactions as been following the most anticipated ‘King of Boys: The Return of the King’ as it was released exclusively on video streaming platform, Netflix.

As earlier announced, the King of Boys sequel was released on Friday and the seven-part series made history as Netflix’s first original series out of Nigeria.

The series stars veteran actress Sola Sobowale, playing the lead role of Eniola Salami aka Laburu, the ‘King of Boys’ amongst other actors like Richard Mofe-Damijo, Toni Tones, Charley Boy, amongst others.

The former edition is a story of a woman with powerful businesswoman’s political ambitions, threatened by her underworld connections, the ensuing power struggle could cost her everything.

However, in ‘The Return of the King’, Alhaja Eniola Salami, starts anew and sets her sights on a different position of power, fueled by revenge, regret and ruthlessness.

Kemi Adetiba, the producer of the movie, took to Twitter to celebrate the good news.

She wrote, “KOB: The Return of the King’ is now live on the Netflix platform only! #KOBArmyX it’s been an honour to stand the line and fight beside you all. Today, we enjoy the spoils of our battle. God bless this day. Even more, than He has done others!”

Meanwhile, on her Instagram, warned viewers against watching the movie on other unsolicited platforms. Adetiba wrote, “Of all factions, in all countries, of all races, sex and ethnic groups and tribes. Let’s go!

“As soldiers, you do the movement a disservice if you watch from any other platform other than Netflix.

“If you’re not watching on Netflix, you’re watching illegally. We don’t move like that and it does nothing for our battle.

“Thank you guys for the honour of both leading and serving. This is a moment of history. Let’s enjoy every second of it!”
