Stork graduated magna cum laude from Duke University. After graduating magna cum laude from Duke University as a Phi Beta Kappa Society. He earned his MD from the University of Virginia. He later completed his emergency medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

The television personality rose to fame and gained widespread attention after his appearance on season 8 of the hit reality series The Bachelor.
