In celebration of the winners at 64th Grammy Awards. We’ve decided to make a compilation of the Top 10 Grammy Award winners of all time.
The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences recently concluded the 64th edition of the annual grammy awards. The award night was one of the most shocking in history, as some of the biggest nominees such as Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, and Wizkid with several nominations got Zero Wins. While Jon Batiste, the bandleader from “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” won five awards, and the 19-year-old pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo won best new artist and best pop vocal album. In celebration of these winners, we’ve decided to make a compilation of the Top 10 Grammy Award winners of all time.

1. Georg Solti
Sir George Solti, a Hungarian-born British orchestral and operatic conductor, is the person with the most Grammy wins, with a total of 31 award won his lifetime. Solti who was the music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra was best known for for his appearances with opera companies in Munich, Frankfurt and London. The Opera conductor reportedly made over 250 recordings including 45 complete opera sets in his lifetime and has over 74 Grammy nominations to his name
2. Beyonce
The 40 years old American singer, Beyonce with 28 Grammy wins to her name takes the second position among the top 10 grammy award winners of all time . Beyonce who is the most decorated female artist in the history of the award, won her first award at the as a member of Destiny’s Child, and since then, has won additional 26 awards including five wins with husband Jay-Z.
3. Quincy Jones
American Record Producer Quincy Jones, takes the third place with also a total of 28 grammy awards from nomination. Jones who is also a composer and arranger came to prominence in the 1950s as a jazz arranger and conductor before working on pop music and film scores. Jones who is regarded as one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th century was the record producer for legendary musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion Aretha Franklin and many others. He has total of 80 Grammy nominations to0 his name.
4. Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss, the American bluegrass-country singer joins the list with a total of 27 wins from 42 nominations. She began her music career at the age of 10, recorded her first song at the age 14 and has since then recorded over 14 studio albums and made appearance on several track. Krauss who is regarded as the Queen of Bluegrass is generally considered to have spared a renewed interest in bluegrass music in the United States. She won her first Grammy in 1991 and since then won additional 26 more.
5. Chick Corea
The Late American Jazz Composer, Chick Corea joins the list with 27 wins from 71 nominations. He began his professional recording and touring career in the early 1960. He recorded his debut album, Tones for Joan’s Bones, in 1966 and won his first grammy in 1976 with “Return Forever” an American jazz fusion band for the best Best Jazz Performance By A Group. He has since then won additional 26 awards in different categories such as Best Instrumental Arrangement, performance and many more.

6. Pierre Boulez
Pierre Boulez, A french composer, conductor and a dominant figures of post-war Western classical music takes the sixth position among the top 10 grammy award winners of all time. He began his professional career in the late 1940s as music director of the Renaud-Barrault theatre company in Paris and was a leading figure and one of the most prominent conductors of his generation. In a career lasting more than sixty years, he was music director of several Orchestra such as the New York Philharmonic , the Ensemble intercontemporain, the BBC Symphony Orchestra the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra. The legendary American singer Stevie Wonder, makes the list with 74 nominations and 25 wins. The singer who was born blind and a child prodigy began his career at the age of 11. His song “Fingertips” was a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 when Wonder was 13, making him the youngest artist ever to top the chart. Aside being among the top 10 Grammy winner of all time Stevie is believed to be the pioneer of many music genres such as rhythm and blues, pop, soul, gospel, funk, and jazz.
8. Vladimir Horowitz
The Russian-American classical pianist and composer, Vladimir Horowitz with 45 nominations and 25 wins takes the the eight place among the top 10 Grammy winner of all time. He began his career as a pianist in russia and was often paid with bread, butter and chocolate rather than money, due to the economic hardship caused by the Civil War. He however emigrated to the United States in 1928, where he developed a successful career as a composer and a pianist where he won several awards including 25 grammy awards as earlier stated and is often considered as one of the greatest pianist of all time.
9. John williams
The Legendary film composer, John Williams with 72 nomiantions and 25 wins joins the top 10 grammy award winners of all time. The American composer gained prominenece as the composer of some of the most popular, recognizable, and critically acclaimed film scores in cinematic history. He also composed numerous classical concertos and other works for orchestral ensembles and solo instruments. Aside being a recipient of 25 Grammy Award william has recived 7 British Academy Film Awards, 5 Oscar Awards, and 4 Golden Globe Awards.
10. Jay Z
The Legendary American Rapper and Entrepreneur concludes the list with 24 wins and 83 nominations making him the most nominated person in the history of the awards. Shawn who is regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop artists in history won his first grammy award in 1998 for the best rap album. He however won 22 more in his 25 year career including five wins with his wife Beyounce — for their hit singles “Crazy in Love” and “Drunk in Love,” plus their joint album “Everything Is Love.”
