In spite of the inflation in the United Kingdom, it was revealed that the Top 10 richest people in UK now possess more wealth than before.
In spite of millions of households in the United Kingdom seeing the sharpest rise in the cost of living for the last forty years, in just a year, Britain’s super-wealthy have seen a record increase in their total wealth of £710 billion. The article reported that a “record 177 UK billionaires are named in the 34th edition of the yearly rankings Top 10 richest people in UK,” which is six more than in 2021, proving that the country’s wealthy are indeed getting richer despite the UK’s billionaires’ fortunes being relatively small compared to countries like the USA. It was revealed that the top 250 richest persons now possess more wealth than the whole 1,000 entrants of the 2018 list as a result of the surge. The top 10 richest people in UK are listed below:

For the fourth time in the list’s 34-year existence, Sri, 86 years old, and Gopi, 82 years old of the Hinduja family, are among the Top 10 richest people in UK. Though the Hinduja family may not be in perfect harmony, they had a prosperous year for their commercial empire. Their family’s multinational corporation has invested in banking, oil, automobile, and other industries which make up the Hinduja Group.
Gopi Hinduja, who resides in London is Leading the family’s foray into electric vehicles. His 50-year-old son, Dheeraj is in charge of their Leeds-based Switch Mobility, which is creating a new line of zero-emission trucks, vans, and buses. The startup, which intends to create 4,000 employment in the UK and India, is receiving funding in the amount of £300 million.
