1. Olumo Rock:
This is one of the best places you can visit in Ogun. Many of us only hear of Olumo Rock but have never visited the place. Olumo Rock is a historical monument that served as a shelter for people during intercity wars. The rock is massive and is a granite rock; if you’re not ready to climb the rock, elevators are available.
2. Abeokuta Museum:
Abeokuta museum is another beautiful place you can visit in Ogun State. Located in Abeokuta, the museum is the heart of Abeokuta, featuring art and artifacts that tell the story of Abeokuta, nonmodern Nigeria, war relations and strategies amongst the Yoruba Warriors of Egba land and many more. There are tour guides on the site to take the you around and provide information about any item that might interest you.
3. Centenary Hall:
The hall was built in 1950, and is a monument that was upright to commemorate the peace that reigned in Abeokuta the capital of Ogun State, due to the absence of inter-tribal wars. Centenary Hall is located opposite the Alake of Ake’s palace which is another important place, this is another place you can visit in Ogun state and know you will find the place interesting.
4. Osurru Water spring:
Need a place to relax, reflect or have uninterrupted chit chat/picnic with your friends and/or family? Osurru Water Spring is the place to go. The water spring flows in from a rocky hill, drains down onto a flat surface and goes into the valley. Osuruu water spring is very relaxing and you can take beautiful pictures of nature and relax with friends and family on the grasslands beside the water spring.
5. Saam Health Farm and Holiday Resort:
This Resort is located at Ajitele town, along Idi- roko road. This is one of the best spots to visit and with family and friends. There are few things that guests can partake in. A pool for swimming, fishing rods and other exciting activities like horseback riding and boat riding.
6. Alake of Egbaland palace:
Do you know that the Alake of Egbaland palace houses the first bible brought by missionaries to Nigeria. It also holds important cultural items. At the entrance of the palace, you will see the wordings “Alake Ti Ile Egba” is boldly written there. The palace is rich in art, culture, history and the tradition of the Egba clan as it boastfully displays the pride of the Egba people.

7. Olowu of Owu Palace:
The palace of Olowu of Owu is a commemoration that holds so many historical art and artifacts and relics of past Olowus.
8. Ebute Oni Tourist Beach:
Ebute Oni Tourist Beach was found by locals before the state government came in and began reconstruction on the site. Guest can sleep overnight and wake to the sound of the ocean, other facilities like bars, restaurants and art shops were added. Places where guests can sit with friends or relax are on the site.Â
9. Lisabi sacred forest:
Lasabi forest is another history of a warrior; it is named after the people of Egba land. Lisabi fought bravely and endlessly during the inter-tribal wars that occurred between Egba people and other tribes. And it’s believed that the remaining warriors are still housed in the forest till date. There is an annual March to the forest by the sons and daughters of Egba land to lisabi forest and a lot of people visit there till date to remember the greatness of the the legend, lisabi.
10. June 12 Cultural Center Kuto:
Let’s talk about the cultural center located in the heart of kuto. It was built in remembrance of the activities that took place during the political elections of June 12, 1993. It has a convention center, swimming pool, amusement park, cinema for viewing movies. The center boasts lively nightlife and the bar and club are very functional from 7:00 pm.
