Tony Musante
Tony Musante obtained some recognition in the United States, as a policeman in the series “Dangerous Cunning.” In the rest of the world the face of him sounded like a prolific secondary of the cinema. The actor died on November 26, 2013 at Lenox Hill Hospital, after surgery. He was 77 years old.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Anthony Peter Musante came from an Italian-American family. The son of a teacher and an accountant, he studied at Northwestern University.
Beginning in the 1960s, Tony Musante left his position as a school teacher, and began appearing in alternative plays, appearing briefly in such popular series as Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Fugitive . He made his film debut with a brief role in The Last Homicide , followed by titles like The Detective , Anonymous Venetian or Thirst for Power . Under the orders of the Italian Dario Argento , he shot The Bird with the Crystal Feathers .
In 1962 he married Jane Sparkes, a writer who worked as a scriptwriter for one of his series. She has accompanied him until the moment of her death.
His most recognized role was the detective in the fight against drug trafficking David Toma, protagonist of the series Astucia peligrosa , which was on the air between 1973 and 1974. He remained active until an advanced age, with titles such as the Oz series , of which 90, where he had a recurring role, and Deep in the Ocean , where he was the father of Michelle Pfeiffer ‘s character .
