He succeeded as Wally Cleaver, the older brother of “The Misadventures of Beaver”, a classic series from the 50s that was more famous in the United States than in the rest of the world. Actor Tony Dow died at the age of 77 at his residence in Topaga, California, on July 27, 2022, one day after one of his representatives mistakenly presumed dead. ” Although this is a very sad day, I have comfort and peace that he is in a better place. He was the best dad anyone could ask for. He was my coach, my mentor, my voice of reason, my best friend, my godfather. at my wedding and my hero ,” said Christopher Dow, his son. 

Born on April 13, 1945, in Los Angeles, Anthony Lee Dow  –his full name– was the son of a stunt double, who at a very young age introduced him to the casting for “The Misadventures of Beaver”. The series, which recreated the adventures of a naughty boy and his family, was a hit at the time, so Tony Dow became a celebrity playing his older brother. At the end of the series, the boy suffered a huge depression, but recovered to work in the construction industry, and study journalism and film.

In the 1980s, he returned to acting, reprising his role as Wally Cleaver in new episodes of the series and a telefilm. Subsequently,  Tony Dow  participated in the series  Entrenador  and  Búscate la vida , and he worked as a director of television episodes. He had an enormous passion for sculpture, and came to hold several exhibitions of his abstract works, made in bronze.

Divorced in 1978 from Carol Marlow, mother of his only son, Tony Dow  joined Lauren Shulkind.
