Tony Dokoupil is an American journalist famous as a correspondent for CBS News. Dokoupil also established himself as an author and wrote the book “The Last Pirate”. The book was about a father, his son, and the age of marijuana. Over the years Tony has worked for various news stations and is considered one of the best in the business.

TONY DOKOUPIL: EARLY CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION

Tony Dokoupil was born in 1981, in Miami, United States of America. He was born to parents Ann Dokoupil and Anthony Edward Dokoupil. Tony was, however, raised by Ann when his parents divorced when he was very young. His father had substance abuse issues and Ann had to take Tony to a safer environment.

For his studies, Tony went to the prestigious Columbia University. He studied in the same lot with the grandchildren of then President George HW Buisson. Tony was a child of exceptional potential from an early age. Moreover, he was also a very hard working child during his school days.

Tony started his career in journalism from his college days. While studying at Columbia University, she was offered a role on the Periscope section of Newsweek. There he was able to showcase his writing skills while doing a bit of editorial work. After a few years working for them, he managed to land the role of lead writer for The Daily Beast and Newsweek.

Then, in 2013, Tony got a new job at NBC News. His time as a network correspondent was good. It also allowed him to grow and broaden his skills in the field of journalism. After spending 3 years at NBC, he got a new job at MSNBC, still as a correspondent. After a successful stint in the network, he moved to CBS News Channel. Tony still works for CBS as a correspondent and after spending more than 10 years in journalism, he is now a senior network reporter and a well-respected personality.

Looking now at the personal aspects of Dokoupil’s life, he is married to NBC News reporter Katy Bear Tur. The two first met in MSNBC’s makeup room and soon began dating. Then, on January 28, 2017, the two were on a date and Tony gave Katy the ring. After being engaged for just 9 months, Tony and Katy have set their wedding date.

The ceremony took place in the middle of the Utah desert, with no flowers or expensive decorations. According to reports, the couple chose this specific location to avoid network signals. Obviously, cell phones couldn’t distract guests. The beautiful couple have now been together for 2 years and things are going pretty well for them.
