This is a man to follow. With a few roles he has managed to captivate the public, who hardly know his name, but who are captivated by his languid face of endless sadness, surrounded by golden curls and enclosing clear eyes.

Thomas William Hiddleston, better known as Tom Hiddleston, was born in Westminster, London, England, on February 9, 1981. His interest in theater had to be awakened by his mother, a branch manager. The fact is that after studying in exclusive schools in Oxford –The School Dragon– and Berkshire –Eton–, and passing through Cambridge, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, from which he graduated in 2005.

He has done a lot of theater, and on the small screen he made his debut in 2001 with a version of the Charles Dickens novel “Nicholas Nickleby”. Her first foray into cinema is not too memorable, it happened in Unrelated (Joanna Hagg, 2007), and nothing suggested that in a few years she would be showered with roles in prestigious titles. The fact is that Tom continued to take advantage of the opportunities that TV offered him, whether it was the series Suburban Shootout (2006), or the TV movieJane Austen Remembers (2007). Although his role as impulsive young cop Magnus Martinsson in Wallander was minor, working with Kenneth Branagh in adapting the cases of notorious Swedish detective Kurt Wallander was quite a stroke of fortune. Because Branagh would remember him when it came to Thor (2011), the adaptation of the Marvel comic. His height, 1.87 meters, made him even think of him for the leading role, but finally the character of Loki, the weak and self-conscious brother, who will repeat in The Avengers , fell to him .

Right now Tom finds himself at a crossroads where it’s vital to come out on top. He has just filmed Midnight in Paris with Woody Allen , with a small role that he borders on, that of the writer Francis Scott Fitzgerald himself . But it is also that Steven Spielberg has given him a role in War Horse , a film told from the point of view of this animal; It is seen that the war is going, because before he was the son of Prime Minister Winston Churchill in Storm Menace (2002). And he co-stars with Rachel Weisz in The Deep Blue Sea , an adaptation of Terence Rattigan ‘s play directed by Terence Davies . In any case, with the idea of keeping his feet on the ground, he continues to shoot TV (he will play Henry V in a version of Shakespeare’s play, a role that his mentor Branagh played curiously) and doing theater.
