TISHA CAMPBELL SALARY

‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ star Duane Martin and his wife, Tisha Campbell, have missed the end of the stick in their legal battle with a bankruptcy trustee, with a judge ordering them to return money Tisha made from her job on ABC’s ‘Dr. Ken. »

According to theJasmineBrand, the decision stems from a Chapter 7 bankruptcy the couple filed in January. In their filing, the Martins claimed they only had $313,000 in assets, although they owed more than $15 million to creditors.

The pair’s assets include $65K in real estate, $248K in personal property, $200 in cash, several luxury vehicles and less than $200 in their bank accounts. Martin’s debt includes $3 million to Broadway Federal Bank, $9.5 million to the City of Los Angeles, over $100,000 in back taxes, and various other million-dollar debts and amounts due to creditors.

Although the Martins listed their combined monthly income at $7,655, they spend over $16,000 on their monthly expenses. On April 1, the bankruptcy trustee went to court to hit the Martins with a federal lawsuit seeking damages.

Additionally, the trustee filed an injunction against the couple for allegedly embezzling money they earned from the bankruptcy. In the lawsuit, the trustee said Duane Martin is a TV actor and movie star and Tisha Campbell-Martin is a TV actress and singer.

The bankruptcy petition mentions that the Martins own a 100% stake in a production company named XE Visions. In addition to producing music, music videos, and “behind the scenes” videos based on Tisha’s performances, XE Visions contracts with studios regarding her performances and receives payments for the shows.

From there, XE and Sony subsidiary Woodridge Productions struck a deal. Woodbridge is known for producing “Dr. Ken,” in which Tisha receives $45,000 per episode.

On April 4, 2016, two days after the Martins filed for Chapter 7, the bankruptcy trustee said Tisha had started another company named Won Hundred. The company, the trustee said, was created as a way to return Tisha’s acting services, although she already runs XE Visions, which does the exact same thing.

As a result, the Trustee accused the Martins of creating Won Hundred for the sole purpose of misappropriating the post-petition payments Tisha was receiving for her work on Dr. Ken.

According to directors, Tisha was paid $47,500 gross and $39,500 after paying her agency. Additionally, the trustee said Woodridge was issuing 4-5 more payments to Tisha, totaling $185,000, held by her talent agency for some reason.

Also, the directors continue to accuse the Martins of refusing to hand over the money as he says the payments should have been made to XE Visions not Won Hundred since the contract Tisha has with “Dr. Ken” states that she must be paid through XE Visions.

As a result, the trustee asked the judge to grant an injunction restraining the Martins from spending, using, transferring or otherwise dissipating the payments to Won Hundred and any other property or assets of XE until until the matter is fully settled.

On Monday, April 25, 2016, the Federal Court judge sided with the bankruptcy trustee in granting a preliminary injunction against Martins, according to theJasmineBrand. He ordered that the couple be prohibited from spending, transferring or using money in the possession of XE or Won Hundred.

Added to this is an additional ruling from the judge, ordering the Martins to return all assets and cash recently earned by Won Hundred, including “Dr. Ken” the paychecks that Tisha received. The judge declares that once the bankruptcy is closed, the company will be thrown out.
