Timbaland was heavy, weighing over 300 pounds,Garcia, his personal trainer, created a workout program that included cardio and strength training, preferably twice a day, 5 days a week. His first workouts were on the treadmill for longer periods of lower intensity.

As he started to lose weight, his running speed increased. He could run at 9 miles per hour for 60 minutes. During strength training, Timbaland followed an alternate training pattern for 5 days, alternating between heavy and light training. Heavy training day involved heavy movements with heavy equipment doing 4 reps, while light training days meant 15 reps and working on cable and isolation exercises.

Regarding his diet, he was switched to 5 portion meals to be eaten within a 3 hour break per day. His diet included a rest of 50% protein, 30% carbohydrates and 20% fats. His main sources of carbohydrates were oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes, green vegetables and fresh fruit. Healthy fats have been derived from omega-3 rich foods like almonds and salmon. At the end of 6 weeks he lost 130 pounds and gained a toned physique.
