His breakthrough came in 1997 in the Canadian-American military science fiction adventure television series, Stargate SG-1 starring Richard Dean Anderson , Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping . Rothery then worked on various movies and TV series, where she built a huge following.

Starting in 2018, he appeared as Robin O’Brien in the television series, Chesapeake Shores starring Jesse Metcalfe , Meghan Ory, and Barbara Niven .

Some of his movies include Deadly Sins , Others , Dragon Balls, and Masterminds among others. Furthermore, Rothery also worked on many plays like Kiss Me, Kate , The Taming of the Shrew , and A Delicate Balance among others.

She has also made guest appearances on The X-Files (1993) and Smallville (2001) .
