Tamera had gained about 60 pounds while pregnant with their daughter Ariah. To take that weight off her body, she made healthy lifestyle changes. She made sure she exercised 4 days a week. Of those 4 days, two days were reserved for weightlifting interval training, one day for cardio, and one day for Pilates.

Lately, she has added zumba and yoga to her workout routine as well. The former is her top choice when she wants to burn calories fast while having fun. One of the biggest benefits of yoga for her is that it helps her relieve stress. It has also helped her take care of her back problem and increased flexibility is the added benefit.

In terms of diet, Tamera does not believe in self deprivation or dieting of any kind. Instead, she’s made subtle changes to her favorite and daily foods. For example, she swapped pasta for spaghetti squash. A cauliflower crust pizza is also offered instead of a classic high-carb pizza.

Tamera Mowry Facts

1. Tamera’s mother quit her military job and moved her family to Los Angeles after Tamera and her twin sister Tia expressed a desire to try their hand at acting.
2. Tamera was inducted into the Kids’ Choice Hall of Fame in 1998 for her work on children’s and youth shows.
3. Tamera has worked with Tia to create her own production company called “Twilight Production”.
4. She only lost her virginity at the age of 29 due to her devout Christian beliefs. After losing her virginity, she felt guilty and decided to remain celibate until her marriage.
