Taissa never had in mind to dedicate herself to the cinema. It was her sister, the also actress Vera Farmiga , who convinced her to play the role of the young version of Corinne in the film On the Highlands (2011), directed by Vera herself. From here and with only 16 years Taissa began her career.

In 2013, Ryan Murphy cast Taissa again in the cast of American Horror Story: Coven , the third season of the series, where she plays Zoe, a young witch who has just discovered her powers. Thanks also to her sister Vera de ella, who suggested her name to one of the producers, Taissa got the role of Anna in the movie Mindscape (2013). Anna is a troubled teenager who goes to a man to read her memory and determine if she is a sociopath or a victim of trauma.

One of his greatest successes came from the film The Bling Ring (2013), directed by Sofia Coppola . The film tells the story of a group of 5 teenagers who carry out a wave of robberies through the houses of Hollywood celebrities. Taissa coincided with actresses of the stature of Emma Watson or Leslie Mann .
