Early Life and Education
Sydney Talker was born in Edo State, Nigeria, and was raised by a single mother. He attended primary and secondary school in Benin. After which he then earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Benin. Sydney Talker chose computer science because he wanted to learn videography as a result of his developed interest in the field.
Career
Sydney Talker’s career began in 2016. In 2016, he began by creating and uploading comedy skits to his social media accounts, particularly Instagram. The same year, his comedy skit ‘The Poor Power Supply’ catapulted him to fame. He was nominated for the 2020 edition of the SME100 Africa 25 Under 25 Awards.
Sydney has also appeared in several Nollywood films alongside well-known Nollywood actors and actresses. He was dubbed the Nigerian Mr Bean – The Towel Guy due to his skits and style. Sydney Talker announced the launch of his record label, ‘Neville Records,’ on Instagram in January 2022. On the same day, he also revealed his first signing, as well as Bad Mout, a comedy club.
