Suze Orman is an American author, financial advisor, motivational speaker, and also a television host. She is known as a financial guru in the American world. She worked for Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor and later founded her own company, Suze Orman Financial Group. She is the author of several books on personal finance and is also the host of The Suze Orman Show on CNBC, for which she won a Gracie Award.
Early age and education
Born on June 5, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Suze Orman is called Susan Lynn Orman. She has an American nationality and is of mixed ethnicity. Her parents are Jews of Russian and Romanian origin. She is the youngest of her parents’ three children.
His family faced financial challenges. Suze Orman attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed her BA in social work in 1976. She also received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

After completing her education, she moved to Berkeley, California and worked as a waitress. She borrowed $52,000 from her friends and supporters to open a restaurant. Suze Orman invested the money through a Merrill Lynch representative, who lost the entire investment. Subsequently, she trained as an account executive at Merrill Lynch, where she worked until 1983, leaving to become vice president of investment at Prudential Bache Securities.
Later, in 1987, Suze Orman resigned from Prudential and founded the Suze Orman Financial Group in Emeryville, California. He also began hosting his show The Suze Orman Show in 2002 on CNBC. The show wrapped up on March 28, 2015. She also appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
