Susanne lothar
Susanne Lothar, Michael Haneke’s fetish actress, died at the age of 51 on July 25, 2012. The German was the widow of actor Ulrich Mühe, star of “The Lives of Others”, who had died of cancer in 2007.
Born in Hamburg on November 15, 1960, Susanne Lothar was the daughter of actors Hanns Lothar and Andree Ingrid. When she was 5 years old, her parents divorced, and shortly after he passed away.
He studied dramatic art at the Hochschule für Theater und Musik (School of Theater and Music) in Hamburg. He began his professional activity in the theater, as a member of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus company.
She made her film debut with Strange , from 1983. But she achieved notoriety above all as the protagonist of Funny Games , by Michael Haneke , where she was a woman who with her family became the victim of two psychopaths. Haneke would trust her talent again to play Mrs. Schober, mother of a student of the protagonist, in The Pianist . She was also the midwife who took care of the house of her lover, the doctor, in The White Ribbon .
In addition, she was the mother of the leading boy in Stephen Daldry ‘s The Reader , alongside Kate Winslet .
Susanne Lothar had two children, the fruit of her marriage to Ulrich Mühe .
