In Bad Homburg, Susanne Hanna Ursula Quandt was born on April 28, 1962. Johanna Quandt and Herbert Quandt were her parents. Stefan Quandt is her brother’s name. He serves as BMW’s supervisory board’s deputy chairman.
In the early 1980s, Klatten worked for Young & Rubicam for two years after completing her business finance coursework. She afterward attended the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne as well as the University of Buckingham. Following her studies, she worked for a number of businesses, including Dresdner Bank, Bankhaus Reuschel & Co., and McKinsey & Company.
