Susan Diol prior to her screen role acted in many plays in Illinois. Diol launched her career as a professional actress playing the role in the television series Night Court sharing the screen with Ellen Foley and Harry Anderson , who passed away on April 16, 2018, in 1990

Following their divorce, the actress married Shaun Cassidy on May 7, 1995. Shaun is an American singer, actor, writer, and producer who is regarded as one of the biggest pop stars of the late 1970s.
The couple welcomed their first child, son Juliet Jones Diol Cassidy , on March 19, 1998. Juliet is now 21 years old, as of 2020.
Diol’s marital relationship with Shaun did not last long either, as they finalized their divorce on March 1, 2003.
