According to the exclusive report of FIJ, the school officials claimed that the scarcity was due to ongoing repairs within the hospital.
“I was supposed to be in theatre this week but the surgery has now been postponed by two days because of this water crisis,” a patient lamented
“It is so bad that patients now buy sachets of water to bathe and defecate.”

No doubt, the Nigerian health sector is shrinking; a situation that compelled the president to seek medical attention outside lately. According to the report, a Nigerian journalist has ones tweeted about this development in November 2020 but was denied.
Patients at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, have been telling me about the water crisis in the hospital and its implications for public health. Women who have just put to bed are being told to buy sachets of water to clean up.
