Sultan Kösen was the first guy over 8 feet tall to be measured by Guinness World Records, the Turkish farmer who works as a part-time farmer was measured at a towering 246.5 cm (8 ft 1 in), earning him the prestigious title of tallest man alive.

Sultan Kosen, a Turkish farmer who was born on December 10th, 1982, holds the Guinness World Record for being the tallest living male at 251 cm (8 ft 2.82 in). He is the sixth tallest man in history and is of Kurdish descent.
Kösen’s acromegaly and gigantism were brought on by a pituitary tumor, which also caused his other medical issues, because of his health, he walks on crutches.

Kösen was born in Mardin, a city in southeast Turkey, and is of ethnic Kurdish origin. Due to his height, Kösen was unable to finish his studies; instead, he worked as a farmer on the side. He lists being tall as a benefit since it allows him to see far away and assist his family with household chores like hanging curtains and changing light bulbs.

He lists difficulties fitting into an average-sized car as one of his disadvantages, along with being unable to find clothing for his legs measuring 126 cm (49.61 in) and for his arms with sleeve lengths measuring 97 cm (38.19 in) and shoes that fit (his once record-breaking length of 36.5 cm (14.4 in) for left and 35.5 cm (14.0 in) for the right foot, whereas his hands are the longest measured in a living person at 28.5 cm (11.2 in)
Beginning in 2010, Kösen underwent Gamma Knife surgery at the University of Virginia Medical School to remove a pituitary tumor. He was also given medicine to reduce his high amounts of growth hormone. In March 2012, it was determined that the therapy was successful in stopping Kösen’s growth.

However, their relationship did not last long because he stated in an interview that communication is their main issue because he speaks Turkish while she only speaks Arabic
Sultan said that the language difference is one of the issues that made them divorce in 2021 and he aspires to wed a new woman in the future.
