Stefán Karl Stefánsson was born on July 10, 1975. Karl comes from Hafnarfjörður, a port town on the southwest coast of Iceland. He grew up in a working-class family and already had a penchant for theater and comedy.

For his education, Stefán went to join the Icelandic Academy of Arts in Reykjavik . While at the academy, he began to realize his love for acting. He also disagreed with the standard and outlook of Icelandic dramatic standards. He didn’t believe in the idea that acting wasn’t about making faces and changing faces, as his high school principal had suggested.

Realizing the situation, his fans took to the internet to financially support the actor. But unfortunately, Stefánsson passed away on August 21, 2018.
