A brand-new talent search called “FUZE” was started by Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, a division of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC.
Through this project, the top pension fund administrator (based on assets under management) hopes to highlight local talent and support their pursuit of their entrepreneurial and creative potential. Youth empowerment would be the focus of the FUZE Talent Hunt, which would include four categories in music, dance, fashion, and technology.
On December 21, 2022, at the FUZE Festival, the winners of the FUZE Talent Hunt will be announced. FUZE promises to be the best platform for showcasing young people’s creativity to the globe. Contestants will be acknowledged in the business, and winners will receive mentorship to advance their careers in addition to the possibility to earn N32 million.
The chances and advantages FUZE offers for young Nigerians pursuing their aspirations have been praised by Demola Sogunle, chief executive officer of Stanbic IBTC Holdings. “Young Nigerians are making a statement on the international stage right now, placing their names and communities on the path to greatness,” he remarked. We are here to provide them with the assistance they need to soar high. The average young Nigerian is brimming with talent and potential that are just waiting to be realized. Since Nigeria is our home, we are responsible for her development.

FUZE’s inspiration was discussed by Olumide Oyetan, chief executive officer of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers. He gave an explanation of how the project would help Nigerian society. He continued by saying that as a forward-thinking company, Stanbic IBTC appreciated talent, creativity, and innovation and developed the platform to highlight young people and give them the support they need to succeed, regardless of their chosen field or business. He finished by adding that, given the elevated unemployment rate reported by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics at above 33%, youth empowerment has become increasingly important.
Nike Bajomo, Executive Director, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers also corroborated Olumide. She said, “The primary goal of the FUZE Talent hunt is to create a platform for Nigeria’s talented youth to engage and learn from other youths while also gaining access to funds and best-in-class mentoring to support actualisation of their dreams”.
Nike urged young Nigerians to take part in the competition, noting that audition applications are free and that the public will be asked to choose their favorite participant to be featured at the competition’s grand conclusion in December 2022.
All Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35 are welcome to join FUZE. Download the Stanbic IBTC Events App from the Android or iOS app store, register, and upload an audition video to get started, she said.
